ADMAR Selling Day

ADMAR: advertising + marketing

The young marketers of the course Advertising & Marketing of Holy Angel University had their hands-on selling experience last Sept 11, 2012 in celebration of the CASED days. Three companies namely FIFO, Confections & Sweet Flix conceptualized, produced and sold their products in a half day event. They also applied their advertising & marketing skills by coming up with their marketing plan and executing their advertisements. FIFO sold Fortune Muffcakes, on the other hand Confections served brownies, cream puffs & tarts while Sweet Flix had Fried Oreos & Snickers. After 5 hours of selling, Confections was the Top Grosser earning more than P4,000.00 for that half day event.

Photoshop for Beginners Workshop

PHOTOSHOP 101
The first-ever-workshop in ADLIB was held last September 15, 2012. Despite heavy rains, 8 students attended the Photoshop for Beginners Workshop conducted by Ms. Anne Cruz. Participants came from all walks of life and from a wide age bracket. Apollo, Mark, Marielle & Sean are elementary & high school students, Kate & Badette are from the City of San Fernando Tourism Office while Robert is a pastor & Joey is a retired Air Force officer.

The first part of the workshop was a lecture on the workspace orientation, various tools & basic skills to help students start working on Photoshop. After the lunchbreak the students were taught cropping using the pen tool which they used in doing their project. The project allowed them to put into practice the skills taught during the morning session. The students cropped their pictures and put it over a background with rays using shape. Then, they labeled it with their name using the type tool. Afterwhich, everybody was given a chance to present their works and share their experiences in the workshop.

The workshop ended with a simple recognition rites, awarding the students with certificates & a class picture as a souvenir.

Here’s what they got to say about the workshop:
